From one-design dinghyโs to keelboats, sportboats, scows, multihulls, iceboats, windsurfers, kite-boards, and even land-sailors. I love the sport of sailing and it’s technical complexity and teamwork. Today I am getting into RC sailing (IOMโs, EC12โs, DF95โs, J-Class, Soling 1M, etc.). Sailing has given me incredible experiences, important life lessons, and many lifelong friends all over the world.ย

Thank you Kiwi for taking these photos. Fun day of practice today in Michigan with 5 IOMโs in attendance at Cabelaโs in Dundee, MI. Breeze was 6-12 mph. Temperature was 60-70 degrees. A really nice day. The new K2 was OUTSTANDING. Today was its first sail. Wow. Really magnificent. Well done SailboatRC! - Sailed new Soling1m for first time today.
Sailed well. No way to know how it performs until some races are under its belt, but it looked and felt solid and clean. Lake Lanier sailing club is a mega complex with more cool boats and classes than you can shake a stick at. Gorgeous campsites and area. It was a perfect day for a paddle. Itโs going to be difficult to get that here on Lake Lanier today. - Iโm heading to the 2021 MC Scow Masters Nationals today!
